    Overview of the Role

    The Climate Justice Resilience Fund (CJRF) is seeking a highly skilled Grant Database Consultant to assist in the development, setup, and staff training for a new grant management database.

    This pivotal role involves assessing organizational needs, identifying suitable database solutions, uploading historical data, and ensuring staff are equipped to manage future grants efficiently.

    About CJRF

    Climate Justice Resilience Fund is a participatory climate justice fund that channels resources to community-led initiatives addressing climate impacts and root causes across regions including the Bay of Bengal, East Africa, and the Arctic.

    The fund prioritizes supporting women, youth, and Indigenous peoples, fostering equitable philanthropy, and promoting participatory governance.

    The fund’s governance comprises activists, practitioners, and leaders committed to climate justice.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Understand staff needs and priorities for a grant database
    • Identify and evaluate database options, presenting pros and cons to staff
    • Support the selection of the most suitable database system

    • Set up the database, including uploading approximately 100 historical grants
    • Conduct staff training on database management and usage

    Candidate Profile

    Essential Experience and Skills

    • Strong expertise in grant management databases
    • Proven experience in assessing organizational database needs and solutions
    • Familiarity working with mid-sized intermediary organizations (annual budgets USD 10-15 million)

    • Knowledge of Salesforce or comparable systems used in grant management
    • Ability to coordinate across time zones (EST, GMT) and engage with multiple team members

    Additional Qualities

    • Excellent communication skills in English
    • Proactive and organized approach to project management
    • Availability between August and November 2026
