    Through this role, the analyst plays a central part in evaluating programme effectiveness, supporting academy operations, and enabling data-informed decision-making across Neuromatch initiatives.

    Role Overview

    The Academy Program Analyst is responsible for managing and analysing data across Neuromatch programmes, particularly its flagship training initiative, the Neuromatch Academy. The position integrates technical data work with administrative and operational support, ensuring that insights are effectively translated into programme improvements.

    Key Responsibilities

    Data Analysis and Reporting

    • Lead all data analysis activities across Neuromatch programmes
    • Analyse datasets from applications, surveys, and evaluations
    • Clean, merge, and interpret multi-year datasets
    • Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualisations
    • Establish consistent metrics and analytical frameworks
    • Support leadership and programme teams in data-driven decision-making

    Academy and Programme Support

    • Provide administrative and evaluation support to programme leadership
    • Assist with student and teaching assistant selection processes
    • Manage support channels such as email and Discord
    • Coordinate survey design, distribution, and analysis
    • Organise processes such as pod check-ins during courses
    • Maintain internal documentation systems, including servers and wikis

    This dual focus ensures that both operational efficiency and programme impact are continuously enhanced.

    Required Skills and Experience

    Candidates should demonstrate:

    • Intermediate experience in data analysis
    • Proficiency in tools such as:
      • Python
      • Google Colab
      • GitHub
      • JupyterBooks
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to work in diverse, multicultural environments
    • Capacity to quickly learn new tools and systems
    • Reliable internet connectivity for remote collaboration

    Preferred Qualifications

    Work Structure and Flexibility

    The role offers a flexible and globally accessible work environment:

    • Fully remote position open to candidates worldwide
    • Flexible working schedule (Monday–Friday)
    • Requirement to attend 2–3 weekly meetings aligned with US and European time zones
    • Collaboration with a globally distributed team

    Contract Details

    • Duration: 1 May – 31 October 2026 (6 months)
    • Part-time: 20 hours per week
    • Full-time: 22 June – 24 July 2026 (during Academy period)

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Hourly rate: $35–$40 USD (US-based candidates)
    • Location-adjusted compensation for international applicants

    • One-week break after the Academy programme

    As a contractor role, benefits such as health insurance and pensions are not included. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and legal obligations.
