Overview
The Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES) is hiring a U.S. Climate Policy Intern to support city, state, and federal climate and energy policy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, track, and report on U.S. domestic climate policy developments, including administrative and legislative actions.
- Research and analyze state and federal policies and other relevant policies.
- Develop and contribute to written materials such as blog posts, web content, and policy briefs.
- Attend and provide updates on relevant events in Washington involving think tanks, advocacy groups, Congress, and federal agencies.
- Support stakeholder engagement with Members of Congress, federal agency representatives, and their staff.
- Assist in briefings with C2ES business partners on U.S. climate policy developments.
Requirements
- Enrolled in or completed a bachelor’s degree or higher in government, economics, environmental or energy policy, political science, or related fields (preference for graduate students).
- Strong communication skills and interest in stakeholder engagement.
- Interdisciplinary understanding of climate change (technology, politics, economics, etc.).
- Interest in Capitol Hill, the Administration, and non-governmental stakeholders.
- Excellent writing, editing, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to process complex information quickly and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and contribute at all levels.
Benefits
Hourly wage of $20 per hour, transportation stipend for interns working from the C2ES Office. This is a full-time internship (up to 37.5 hours per week) during Summer 2026.

Remote from specified U.S. states or Washington, DC.
