Chief Architect @NICE Actimize

Overview

The Chief Architect at NiCE Actimize owns the technical vision that integrates the product portfolio. This role ensures that products are coherent, secure, scalable, and cost-effective, regardless of deployment method. It combines deep technical authority with enterprise strategy, establishing architectural direction and raising the engineering standard across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the multi-year target architecture across the product suite, balancing autonomy with shared platform leverage.
• Establish an architecture strategy for on-premise, private cloud, public cloud, or SaaS deployments.
• Drive the platform and shared-services strategy to reduce fragmentation across products.
• Translate business and product strategy into technical roadmaps and advise on build-vs-buy and major technology decisions.
• Design models for reliable operation across diverse environments with varying constraints.
• Establish reference architectures for tenancy, configuration management, and feature parity.
• Embed security, privacy, and compliance in the architecture by design.
• Define architectural guardrails for availability, disaster recovery, and performance.
• Manage architecture governance functions and evaluate core technologies and vendors.
• Lead and mentor architects and senior engineers, building consensus and influencing stakeholders.
• Represent the technical vision in customer and partner engagements.

Requirements

• 12+ years in software engineering with experience in senior architecture roles.
• Ownership of architecture for enterprise-grade products across multiple deployment models.
• Expertise in distributed systems, multi-tenancy, and API/integration design, preferably with major cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of security and resilience engineering for sensitive data.
• Experience in regulated environments, ideally financial services.
• Proven ability to influence without direct authority.
• Excellent communication skills.
