Overview
The Coalition for Good Schools seeks a strategic communicator to support Global and Regional Hubs in advocacy, campaigns, and content development to prevent violence against children in schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Finalize a draft communications strategy to guide annual communications efforts.
- Harmonize strategies with Regional Hubs in Latin America, Asia, and Africa.
- Review and enhance existing branding materials.
- Produce up to 12 short video/audio perspectives highlighting civil society roles in preventing VAC.
- Produce a series of up to 10 podcasts on key questions in VAC prevention.
- Co-lead global communications campaigns with Regional Hubs and partners.
- Oversee shared social media accounts, maintaining content calendars.
- Conduct sessions on communications best practices for Regional Hubs.
- Manage the MailChimp platform for updates on Coalition progress.
- Develop an onboarding kit for new members and partners.
- Maintain a photo/video content bank sourced from Coalition members.
Requirements
- Proven strategic communications skills with a passion for child protection or VAC prevention.
- Track record managing communications for non-profits or advocacy groups.
- Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in Spanish is an asset.
- Experience with design software (InDesign, Adobe, Canva) and digital tools (MailChimp, WordPress).
- Ability to integrate diverse perspectives while maintaining a cohesive visual identity.
- Understanding of international development and social justice issues in the Global South is highly desirable.
Benefits
This consultancy is part-time, requiring 6–8 days per month for 8 months, with the possibility of extension.
