Overview
The Alaska Chapter of The Nature Conservancy is seeking a Development Operations Specialist to support the growing team of fundraisers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage core development functions, including revenue management, prospect and portfolio systems, reporting and analytics, gift processing workflows, and stewardship operations.
- Maintain data integrity and ensure consistent use of development systems.
- Implement and document standards, processes, and tools to optimize fundraising operations.
- Translate strategic priorities into operational plans, systems, and workflows.
- Provide insights, recommendations, and targeted training for staff related to systems, data, and workflows.
- Contribute to cross-functional project teams to develop and improve fundraising initiatives.
- Manage projects of moderate to high complexity, coordinating multiple contributors and ensuring accountability.
- Ensure compliance with TNC policies, donor agreements, legal, and IRS requirements.
- Support team priorities, events, and donor engagement, including occasional travel (~5–15%).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination).
- Experience generating reports, analyzing data, and providing actionable insights.
- Strong coordination skills and experience working across departments.
- Familiarity with current technology relevant to development operations.
- Excellent communication skills, adaptable problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Multi-lingual and cross-cultural experience.
- Experience implementing complex processes.
- Knowledge of database management and current industry trends.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and understanding of basic accounting practices.

- Annual base salary range: $78,000 – $83,000 (USA-based candidates).
