Development Strategist @Textile Exchange

Overview

The Development Strategist will design and implement fundraising strategies to support Textile Exchange’s Climate and Nature Impact activities while contributing to broader organizational funding mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy.
• Secure philanthropic grants, donations, and corporate sponsorships.
• Contribute to the development of long-term funding mechanisms aligned with the organization’s 5-year strategy.
• Cultivate and steward relationships with donors and foundations.
• Partner with executive leadership to grow and diversify philanthropic funding.
• Track grant cycles and deliverables using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
• Develop compelling grant proposals and impact reports.
• Monitor grant deliverables and ensure transparency and accountability.

Requirements

• 5–7 years’ experience in fundraising or donor relations.
• Proven track record securing major gifts and grants.
• Strong communication, storytelling, and project management skills.
• Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
• Commitment to climate, biodiversity, and equitable systems change.
