    Overview

    NICE Ltd. is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a late shift role focused on solving infrastructure challenges through software engineering and automation. The engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for cloud infrastructure, enhancing operational processes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Drive infrastructure standardization by developing scalable automation frameworks in Python.
    • Enhance Terraform code-generation platforms to produce validated infrastructure code from reusable templates.
    • Develop and maintain Puppet modules and Hiera configurations for managing Linux and Windows environments.
    • Create PowerShell automation solutions for server management and cloud integrations.
    • Simplify workflows by developing internal automation tools and APIs.
    • Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes.
    • Implement testing strategies for infrastructure code, including unit and integration testing.
    • Collaborate with teams to automate manual processes and drive efficiency.
    • Create documentation and standards for automation frameworks.
    • Participate in code reviews and improve the quality of automation solutions.

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of Python development experience focused on structured, testable code.
    • Strong understanding of Python packaging, virtual environments, and code quality tooling.
    • Experience building CLI tools and automation frameworks with Python.
    • Hands-on experience with Jinja2 templating.
    • Strong Terraform proficiency including module design and state management.
    • Hands-on Puppet experience for managing mixed environments.
    • Proficient in PowerShell scripting for Windows administration.
    • Solid AWS experience, familiar with CI/CD platforms.
