    Overview

    NiCE Ltd. is seeking a visionary engineering leader to serve as the Director of Engineering. This role involves leading the quality engineering discipline into the AI era, focusing on automation infrastructure, performance engineering, and AI-driven quality initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    • AI Quality Strategy:
      • Define and lead AI-augmented quality initiatives across the organization.
      • Deploy LLM-powered test generation and analysis tooling.
      • Build frameworks for validating AI/ML model outputs.
      • Evaluate and integrate emerging AI quality toolchains.
      • Champion responsible AI testing practices and governance models.
    • Automation Engineering:
      • Own the full automation strategy across UI, API, and integration layers.
      • Architect scalable test frameworks and drive shift-left testing.
      • Establish coverage KPIs, flakiness SLAs, and automation ROI metrics.
      • Lead adoption of self-healing and AI-assisted test maintenance.
    • Performance Engineering:
      • Lead performance and load testing strategy at enterprise scale.
      • Define SLOs/SLAs and partner with SRE on reliability thresholds.
      • Drive root-cause analysis for regressions and bottlenecks.
      • Oversee performance toolchains and integrations.
    • People & Org Leadership:
      • Lead and grow teams of automation and performance engineers.
      • Set technical direction and career ladders for the quality engineering organization.
      • Foster a culture of ownership and continuous learning.

    Requirements

    • 12+ years in software engineering or QA, with 5+ years in engineering leadership.
    • Deep hands-on background in test automation architecture.
    • Proven track record leading performance engineering at scale.
    • Experience shipping or operating AI/ML systems.
    • Enterprise software domain experience preferred.
    • Working knowledge of LLM capabilities relevant to software testing.
    • Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language.
    • Exceptional communication and data-driven decision-making skills.

    Location
