Overview
The Ed Bradley Journalism Fellowship at New York University is a fully funded, one-week summer workshop for U.S. college students, running from June 8–14, 2026. It focuses on increasing the representation of African-American males in journalism through immersive mentorship and hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in intensive journalism training covering reporting, news writing, multimedia journalism, story pitching, interviewing, and editorial development.
- Produce original multimedia stories and get professional editorial feedback.
- Visit prestigious New York newsrooms and engage with top journalists and newsroom executives.
- Gain exposure to professional journalism and contribute to the Dow Jones News Fund network.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. college student.
- Must have completed their freshman year by Summer 2025.
- Must support the mission of increasing the representation of Black males in journalism.
- Must demonstrate an interest in journalism and media.
