Overview

Sierra is a leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, partnering with major brands to transform customer service. The role of Enterprise Sales Engineer for the Public Sector involves driving technical pre-sales processes for government institutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end technical pre-sales process for government institutions, including understanding customer use cases and articulating business value.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Agent Engineering teams to enhance the go-to-market function and improve product development.
• Serve as a technical leader in early customer conversations, understanding their needs to support industry-leading AI solutions.
• Work closely with industry leadership to build the public sector team, including capture motion and market strategy.

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or Solutions Engineering, including 2+ years supporting U.S. federal, state, or local government customers.
• Experience in demo building and technical sales processes, with a focus on relationship-building with executives.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP and government authorization processes.
• Ability to connect customer business problems with Sierra's solutions for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience; a degree in Computer Science or a related field is a bonus.
