Overview
The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking applications for an Ethics Advisor position. This 11-month consultancy role can be based in Rome or remotely, focusing on ethical decision-making within WFP’s operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide confidential and independent ethics guidance on issues such as conflicts of interest, conduct, and decision-making.
- Manage and document ethics-related requests in line with internal protocols.
- Support disclosure systems, including financial and conflict-of-interest reporting.
- Assist in handling whistleblower protection cases in coordination with senior leadership.
- Contribute to the development of ethics policies, tools, and operational procedures.
- Deliver training sessions and awareness initiatives across headquarters and country offices.
- Promote a strong organizational culture rooted in integrity and accountability.
Requirements
- An advanced university degree in law, ethics, public administration, international affairs, compliance, or a related field.
- At least six years of relevant professional experience in ethics, legal advisory, or compliance roles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive issues with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English, with working knowledge of another UN language considered an advantage.
