Overview

Southern Voice is seeking a qualified and motivated Policy Officer to support their team in influencing global policy debates and promoting evidence-based analysis from the Global South.

Key Responsibilities

• Track global policy debates and key forums
• Conduct background research and stakeholder analysis
• Prepare briefs, talking points, and strategic inputs to support policy positioning
• Convert research outputs and network insights into clear, policy-relevant content
• Develop briefs, summaries, and advocacy materials
• Support narrative development for effective communication
• Assist in designing and delivering policy dialogues and global interactions
• Prepare agendas and briefing materials
• Document discussions and contribute to reporting and funding proposals

Requirements

Strong analytical, drafting, and coordination skills are essential. The candidate should thrive in structured roles and be passionate about amplifying the perspectives of the Global South in international policy debates.
