    FemPeaceEA Job Summary

    Job Title: Project Assistant – Contracts & Compliance
    Location: Remote (East Africa and International Collaboration between Uganda and Berlin)
    Contract Duration: August 1, 2026 – December 30, 2026
    Contract Type: Part-time, 5 months
    Monthly Salary: 1,000 euros

    About FemPeaceEA

    The FemPeaceEA project aims to strengthen grassroots feminist organizations across Ethiopia, Kenya, and Uganda through capacity building and network development to promote women’s full participation in peacebuilding and conflict prevention processes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with drafting, structuring, and managing consultancy contracts and MOUs
    • Verify invoices and cash receipts in accordance with payment terms
    • Support project procurement processes, including call publication and documentation

    • Ensure compliance with donor and funder requirements
    • Maintain attention to detail regarding agreements, deliverables, scope of work, and amendments
    • Collaborate closely with the FemPeaceEA team in Uganda and Berlin

    • Attend weekly project meetings, administrative briefings, and expert consultations
    • Work remotely while remaining accessible and responsive during standard hours

    Candidate Profile

    Knowledge and Understanding

    • Deep understanding of grassroots African feminist movements, especially in Ethiopia, Uganda, and Kenya
    • Experience working within African feminist spaces and with feminist experts and practitioners

    Education & Professional Background

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Governance & Public Administration
    • 2–5 years of relevant administrative experience
    • Familiarity with consultancy/service agreements and contract drafting

    • Financial literacy including budgeting, payment terms, and deliverable-based payments
    • Experience verifying invoices and managing payment processes
    • Practical knowledge of donor/funder contractual requirements
    • Familiarity with project procurement processes

    Skills & Attributes

    • Ability to work remotely with high responsiveness during working hours
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Availability for weekly meetings and briefings
