Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) is inviting applications for the position of Entrepreneurship Officer, aimed at advancing youth economic empowerment across Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of entrepreneurship initiatives.
- Coordinate delivery of business and entrepreneurship training programmes.
- Manage competitive start-up grant processes, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
- Support development of viable business proposals, especially for marginalized groups.
- Promote innovative, inclusive, and gender-responsive enterprise development models.
- Monitor programme performance, risks, and job creation outcomes.
- Assess and strengthen entrepreneurship capacity within national chapters.
- Develop partnerships with entrepreneurship hubs and financial institutions.
- Coordinate mentorship programmes and track mentor–mentee engagements.
- Contribute to fundraising and proposal development initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, education, social sciences, or related fields.
- At least 7 years of experience in MSME support, entrepreneurship, or incubation programmes.
- Experience in training delivery and business plan evaluation.
- Proven track record in partnership development.
- Experience working with marginalized groups, including young women, persons with disabilities, and refugees.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
- Experience linking education and entrepreneurship programmes (preferred).
