Forward Deployed Architect @Notion

Overview

Notion is seeking a Forward Deployed Architect to join their Services team. In this role, you will help customers operationalize AI ambitions and maximize platform potential by designing and building AI-native workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with customers from discovery to launch, translating their business goals and workflow requirements into scalable Notion solutions.
• Design scalable architectures that translate customer workflows, governance needs, and AI use cases into optimal workspaces.
• Deploy AI-native workflows using Notion AI and related tools while collaborating with engineering teams as needed.
• Create adoption plans, enablement materials, and launch strategies that drive sustained usage and business value.
• Identify patterns across customer engagements to create packaged solutions and feedback for product improvement.
• Serve as a trusted advisor, clarifying complex requirements and aligning stakeholders on implementation paths.
• Work cross-functionally to scale successful strategies beyond individual customer engagements.
• Develop implementation plans and success measures that align teams on delivering value.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in tech services, solutions architecture, or similar customer-facing roles.
• Ability to translate customer goals into workflows, implementation plans, and architectures.
• Strong consultative skills including ability to identify customer pain points and define future-state solutions.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools and technical fluency in APIs, integrations, and automation.
• Experience in managing projects and engagements for customer value.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences, simplifying technical concepts.
• Strong presence and judgment to build trust with customers and stakeholders.
• Ability to work in fast-changing environments with a bias toward action.

Benefits

Notion offers highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits based on various factors including location and candidate experience. For this role, the estimated total compensation range for New York City is $165,000 - $205,000 per year.

Location

This role can be based in New York City or San Francisco, with required in-office presence on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
