QA Automation Lead (API+UI) - India @Juniper Square

Overview

Juniper Square is looking for a QA Automation Lead (API+UI) who will be the primary owner of quality for the projects. The role requires overseeing the end-to-end testing strategy and collaborating with product and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Review technical design documents and API specifications to provide feedback on system testability and potential integration issues.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to define the automation strategy for new feature releases.
• Design and execute complex test cases for frontend and backend systems.
• Maintain and extend backend automation frameworks.
• Establish QA best practices, coding standards, and code review processes.
• Develop automated test result reports and highlight quality risks.
• Identify and track bugs to resolution.
• Advocate for automation and provide recommendations to reduce manual testing efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 8-12 years in Software Quality Assurance with a focus on complex distributed systems, microservices, and backend APIs.
• Proficient in AI-powered tools for test automation.
• Experience in designing scalable automation frameworks and programming skills in Python.
• Hands-on expertise in manual and automated testing of frontend and backend APIs.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and software development lifecycle concepts.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Strong skills in AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with version control systems and test management tools.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication skills in English.
