Data-Pop Alliance (DPA) is an international nonprofit founded in 2013 out of the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative (HHI), the MIT Media Lab, and ODI. We bring together researchers, practitioners, and activists to harness data and AI for social good; diagnosing human problems, mobilizing data-literate communities, and transforming the systems that shape our societies.
DPA has partnered with a wide range of renowned organizations in the field of data for development, including several UN agencies (such as UN Women, UNFPA, UNDP, FAO, WFP, and UN ESCWA), the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank, GIZ, the Vodafone Institute, Oxfam, and other leading institutions. Our work spans Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, the Middle East and North Africa, and South Asia. Our team is composed of approximately 20 professionals (including Directors, Managers, Officers, and Interns) all united by a shared commitment to generating meaningful and lasting impact.

This is a senior, cross-cutting role at the heart of DPA’s growth. As Fundraising &Partnerships Manager, you will lead the organization’s external funding strategy and relationship development, identifying opportunities, shaping compelling proposals, and cultivating the partnerships that enable our mission. You will be supported by development officers and program staff, and work closely with Directors and Project Managers across the organization.
Start Date: As soon as possible. Initial 3-month trial contract, with the expectation of a longer-term engagement based on mutual fit.

Reports to: Managing Director
| 1. Fundraising & Proposal Development | Lead the full lifecycle of proposal development and submission, from opportunity identification to final deliveryMap and monitor potential donors, sources of funding, and partner organizations across donor websites, tender platforms, and networksEvaluate funding opportunities for strategic and values-based fit with DPA’s mission and team capacityDraft high-quality proposals, concept notes, and expressions of interest with support from team members; manage follow-ups with donorsLeverage and systematize past proposal content to strengthen future applicationsCoordinate input from Project Managers and subject matter experts throughout proposal processesSupport budget preparation in consultation with PMs and finance staff |

Partnerships and Stakeholders Relations | Serve as the primary external point of contact for current and prospective funding partnersCommunicate and manage proposal TORs, requirements, and specifications. Coordinate submission logistics across channels (email, platforms, etc.)Maintain regular updates to Directors and PMs on proposal pipeline and status |

Remuneration
DPA offers a competitive salary, negotiable based on the candidate’s profile and experience, and aligned with organization-wide compensation standards. Benefits include 25 days of accrued paid annual leave, sick days and personal days, as well as a flexible, fully remote work environment.
In addition, this position can have fixed and variable components, based on fundraising performance including success-linked components.
