    Overview

    The Bayer Foundation is offering fellowships for master’s students, PhD candidates, medical students, and STEM student teachers. The program provides funding up to €10,000 for international research placements, internships, and educational projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Engage in international research placements, internships, and educational projects.
    • Contribute to advancements in science, medicine, sustainability, and education.

    Requirements

    For Scientific Fellowships:

    • Master’s or PhD students in various scientific disciplines (including pharmacy, data science, agricultural science, medical sciences, climate & health).
    • Work must be relevant to pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare, crop science, sustainable agriculture, or climate & health impacts.
    • Special encouragement for women in science, individuals from low- and middle-income countries, parents with caregiving responsibilities, and those working in Germany with German as a second language.
    • Students enrolled in Germany must complete fellowships abroad; students enrolled abroad must complete fellowships in Germany.

    For STEM Student Teachers & Teachers:

    • Trainee teachers or pedagogy students (Bachelor, Master, PhD, Staatsexamen) with a STEM focus, currently studying or working in Germany.
    • Newly qualified teachers (less than three years of experience) specializing in STEM subjects, currently studying or working in Germany.
    • Primary or special education teachers seeking to enhance STEM teaching capacity, currently studying or working in Germany.

    Benefits

    • Funding up to €10,000.
    • Support for research projects, international internships, academic placements, professional trainings, summer schools, and research courses.
    • Duration of up to six months for scientific fellowships and up to twelve months for teacher fellowships.

    Location

    Global (specific locations depend on the fellowship and applicant's enrollment status).
