Overview
GiveWell is seeking exceptional Researchers to help direct funding towards cost-effective global health and poverty alleviation programs, influencing funding decisions through evidence-based research.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate global health and poverty interventions using empirical evidence
- Analyze programs such as vaccine delivery and malaria prevention
- Synthesize findings into actionable insights and recommendations
- Build cost-effectiveness models for programs
- Review funding proposals and assess their potential impact
- Engage with organizations to understand program design
- Produce detailed research reports and blog posts
- Collaborate with internal teams on research priorities
Requirements
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a quantitative field or equivalent experience
- Strong ability to analyze and synthesize empirical research
- Experience with modeling, data analysis, or evaluation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize high-impact questions and manage complex projects
