Overview

GiveWell is seeking exceptional Researchers to help direct funding towards cost-effective global health and poverty alleviation programs, influencing funding decisions through evidence-based research.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate global health and poverty interventions using empirical evidence
• Analyze programs such as vaccine delivery and malaria prevention
• Synthesize findings into actionable insights and recommendations
• Build cost-effectiveness models for programs
• Review funding proposals and assess their potential impact
• Engage with organizations to understand program design
• Produce detailed research reports and blog posts
• Collaborate with internal teams on research priorities

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a quantitative field or equivalent experience
• Strong ability to analyze and synthesize empirical research
• Experience with modeling, data analysis, or evaluation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize high-impact questions and manage complex projects
