Overview

The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and World Agroforestry (ICRAF) is looking for a GLFx Chapter Africa Hub Officer to serve as the regional focal point for GLFx in Africa.

Key Responsibilities

Strengthen community engagement among Africa chapters
Ensure meaningful integration of chapters into GLF programs and events
Coordinate regional activities and flagship initiatives
Facilitate equitable access to funding and partnership opportunities
Manage day-to-day communication and convene regular meetings
Lead coordination of GLFx Africa sessions within global and regional conferences
Collaborate with the GLF Communications team
Design and coordinate processes for allocating grants and resources

Requirements

University degree in sustainable development, landscape restoration, conservation, agroecology, or related field
Fluency in English and French (written and spoken)
Experience with field-based restoration or community-driven processes
Strong project coordination and partnership management skills
Ability to produce high-quality written content
