    The Global Resilience Partnership (GRP) is inviting applications for a part-time, remote Human Resources (HR) Manager to join its team.

    This position, starting 1 June 2026, offers an opportunity for experienced HR professionals to contribute to the strengthening of GRP’s human capital and organizational systems, advancing the mission of building resilience in communities worldwide.

    The HR Manager role is a six-month independent contractor position (50% FTE), with the potential for renewal based on performance and funding availability. Applications are due by 3 April 2026, 23:59 SAST. Candidates are encouraged to apply early to secure consideration.

    The HR Manager will play a pivotal role in strengthening GRP’s HR policies, systems, and procedures, ensuring staff are well-supported and equipped to deliver on organizational objectives.

    Position Overview

    GRP is committed to creating a fair, supportive, and efficient workplace. The HR Manager will lead recruitment, onboarding, staff allocation, policy development, remuneration frameworks, and performance management initiatives. A key focus of the role is the integration and implementation of a comprehensive HR system to streamline daily operations.

    This role reports directly to the Operations Director and offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing the HR Manager to operate globally while contributing to organizational efficiency and staff development.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities

    Recruitment and Onboarding

    • Lead fair and transparent recruitment processes aligned with GRP’s values.
    • Develop onboarding programs that integrate new staff into the organization effectively.
    • Ensure alignment between recruitment strategies and organizational objectives.

    HR Policy Development and Systems

    • Review, update, and develop HR policies, procedures, and staff manuals in line with best practices and legal requirements.
    • Create internal HR documentation, including a staff handbook.
    • Lead the rollout of an HR system, ensuring staff and managers are trained and the system is fully operational.
    • Manage HR queries in collaboration with GRP’s fiscal sponsors.

    Staff Management and Development

    • Oversee staff allocation in line with program needs and organizational budgets.
    • Develop and implement remuneration policies to ensure fairness and competitiveness.
    • Monitor time management, including accurate timesheet tracking and compliance with donor requirements.
    • Lead performance management initiatives and staff development programs, including capacity-building activities.

    Deliverables and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    The HR Manager will be evaluated on the following:

    • Successful implementation of an HR system.
    • Quality and performance of new hires after six months.
    • Development and management of performance review templates and staff skill growth plans.
    • Accuracy and compliance in HR operations, payroll, and administrative processes.
    • Staff engagement and retention, including turnover rates and satisfaction scores.

    Qualifications

    Ideal candidates will possess:

    • 5-7 years of HR management experience, preferably within NGOs or international organizations.
    • Advanced degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
    • Proven expertise in recruitment, onboarding, HR policy development, staff management, and capacity building.
    • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
    • Experience implementing and managing HR systems.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with discretion and integrity.
    • Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
    • Priority consideration for nationals from ODA-eligible countries.

    Terms of the Contract

    • Start Date: 1 June 2026, or as soon as possible
    • Duration: 6 months (with a one-month probation period)
    • Position: Part-time (50%) independent contractor
    • Compensation: USD 2,500–3,000 per month, inclusive of work equipment usage
    • Location: Remote
    • Reporting: Operations Director
