Overview

Lemon.io is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead a growing team and drive the transformation of their product from a services-driven marketplace to a technology-driven platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the technical roadmap ensuring alignment between engineering efforts and business impact.
• Lead and grow an engineering team focused on fast shipping and constant iteration.
• Tackle complex problems such as automated vetting and intelligent matching.
• Make prioritization decisions about project execution.
• Collaborate directly with the founder and product team on defining success metrics.
• Establish a culture of high ownership, high speed, and low bureaucracy within the engineering team.

Requirements

• Experience leading engineering teams (5–30+ people) in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Hands-on experience with modern technology stacks and comfort in AI/ML tooling.
• Experience working in a distributed, asynchronous team structure.
• Product-minded and business-focused with a passion for simplicity.
• Effective, action-oriented decision maker.
