Overview
Front Line Defenders seeks a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer to support its MEL system by ensuring robust monitoring, data collection, and effective evaluation processes across programs and regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of regional, program, and donor MEL frameworks.
- Develop monitoring and tracking tools aligned with MEL frameworks.
- Assist program and regional teams in systematic data collection.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to support internal reporting and donor requirements.
- Produce summaries and visualizations of monitoring data.
- Consolidate monitoring findings and support documentation of case studies.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external consultants.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years professional experience in MEL within relevant sectors.
- Advanced university degree in human rights, social sciences, or related fields.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing MEL frameworks.
- Strong analysis skills, including proficiency in data software.
- Experience developing surveys and evaluation forms.
- Knowledge of intersectional approaches in human rights programming.
- Familiarity with HRDs protection ecosystem.
- Desirable: Experience with databases or supporting evaluations across regions.
