Overview
The Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) Press is inviting submissions of original scholarly manuscripts focused on advancing knowledge transformation in South Africa, Africa, and the Global South. This call encourages interdisciplinary and solutions-oriented works that strengthen engaged research and inform evidence-based policymaking.
Key Responsibilities
- Submit manuscripts in the form of scholarly monographs or edited volumes.
- Contribute to shaping global conversations while centering African scholarship, contexts, and voices.
Requirements
- Manuscripts should bridge scholarship, policy, and practice.
- Must integrate strong data and evidence for decision-making.
- Must reflect African histories, perspectives, and intellectual traditions.
- Provide critical and forward-looking policy insights.
- Demonstrate interdisciplinary rigor.
- Submissions are particularly encouraged from early-career scholars, first-time book authors, and researchers working across African institutions and the Global South.
- Maximum length: 100,000 words.
- Submit a brief proposal with guidelines available from HSRC Press.
- Submit both proposal and manuscript in MS Word format.
- Each submission must include a 100-150 word author biography, ORCID number(s), institutional affiliation, and full contact details.
