    Overview

    The role of Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer involves maintaining and enhancing system security at Blockchain, a leading global crypto company. The engineer will be responsible for building tooling and monitoring systems to protect both consumer-facing products and institutional offerings.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design, build, and implement security controls, automation, and processes across product, platform, and infrastructure environments.
    • Identify operational and technical security gaps, propose solutions, and drive engineering initiatives to close them.
    • Collaborate with SRE and engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native architectures.
    • Build automated tooling to enforce secure configurations and support continuous compliance.
    • Assist in threat modeling, design reviews, and architectural assessments for systems.
    • Contribute to internal security documentation and best practices.
    • Participate in security incident response as needed.
    • Research and integrate AI utilities safely into secure infrastructure.

    Requirements

    • 4+ years of experience in security engineering, platform security, or DevSecOps roles.
    • Experience implementing security controls and automation in cloud environments, preferably GCP or AWS.
    • Proficiency in scripting and infrastructure as code (e.g., Python, Bash, Go, Terraform).
    • Ability to collaborate with engineering teams to translate security requirements into practical solutions.
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on automation.
    • Familiarity with Cloudflare, OSS SIEM tools, and incident management platforms.
    • Experience with CI/CD systems and maintaining HIDS systems.
