The Institute for Human Rights & Business (IHRB) is hiring a Research & Engagement Lead – Adaptation Finance (Africa), a fully remote consultancy focused on reshaping climate adaptation finance and insurance systems in Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead action-oriented research engaging financial institutions, insurance providers, and community stakeholders.
• Create a framework mapping adaptation finance instruments.
• Document real-world case studies across African contexts related to climate adaptation.
• Draft a flagship publication aimed at key stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least seven years of experience in climate finance, sustainable finance, or development finance.
• Experience working with financial institutions, investors, or insurance actors.
• Strong understanding of adaptation finance systems.
• Ability to produce high-quality research or policy reports.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills.

Benefits

The total consultancy budget is £48,600, with flexibility in scheduling for key phases.
