Overview

This role offers the opportunity to work as an Investment Manager within AgDevCo Ventures, focusing on agribusiness investment in early-stage SMEs across East Africa.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support investment origination, evaluation, and execution activities.
Identify and screen agribusiness investment opportunities in East Africa.
Conduct financial, operational, and impact due diligence on potential investments.
Prepare internal investment approval documentation.
Supervise analysts and external advisors during due diligence.
Act as the primary relationship manager for investee companies.
Monitor portfolio performance and manage investment risks.
Contribute to annual budgeting and investment planning processes.

Requirements

6–8 years of experience in private equity, development finance, impact investing, or commercial banking.
Demonstrated investment experience in African markets, preferably in agribusiness.
Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities.
Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
Ability to manage relationships with stakeholders.
