Java Developer II - AutoOps Services - Platform Applications @Elastic

Overview

The role involves joining the AutoOps team as a Java Engineer II at Elastic, a company that enables businesses to leverage the power of data through its Search AI Platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable Java code and participate in code reviews.
• Integrate third-party APIs and conduct unit and integration testing.
• Implement RESTful services for system communication, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop integration strategies for the ELK stack.
• Tackle performance or concurrency issues and propose solutions.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and deliver high-quality results.
• Own operational investigations end-to-end until resolution.
• Support engineering teams with complex problem-solving.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Java programming.
• Knowledge of system design and architecture.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful services.
• Familiarity with the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Ability to conduct operational investigations and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Basic knowledge of relational databases, preferably Postgres.
• A proven ability to use AI in development and optimization tasks.
• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to transition across projects.
