Overview

The Project Manager – ECHO role at Christian Aid presents a strategic leadership opportunity for experienced humanitarian professionals to drive impactful, large-scale emergency programming in Northeast and Northwest Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership, coordination, and technical direction for the ECHO-funded Goyon Baya Response Project.
• Lead the design, activation, and management of the Rapid Response and Referral Mechanism (RRRM).
• Oversee rapid needs assessments, response prioritisation, and timely delivery of assistance.
• Ensure alignment with approved proposals, budgets, and donor requirements.
• Manage MPCA programming and provide technical oversight to WaSH interventions.
• Ensure compliance with DG ECHO requirements and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Lead monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) systems.
• Represent Christian Aid in coordination platforms and build strong relationships with donors, local authorities, and humanitarian actors.

Requirements

• Postgraduate qualification in Development, Humanitarian Studies, or related field.
• At least seven years of experience managing humanitarian programmes.
• Strong expertise in Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) and WaSH programming.
• Prior experience with ECHO-funded projects.
• Experience in conflict-affected regions, particularly in Northeast or Northwest Nigeria.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
