Overview
The Project Manager – ECHO role at Christian Aid presents a strategic leadership opportunity for experienced humanitarian professionals to drive impactful, large-scale emergency programming in Northeast and Northwest Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership, coordination, and technical direction for the ECHO-funded Goyon Baya Response Project.
- Lead the design, activation, and management of the Rapid Response and Referral Mechanism (RRRM).
- Oversee rapid needs assessments, response prioritisation, and timely delivery of assistance.
- Ensure alignment with approved proposals, budgets, and donor requirements.
- Manage MPCA programming and provide technical oversight to WaSH interventions.
- Ensure compliance with DG ECHO requirements and maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Lead monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) systems.
- Represent Christian Aid in coordination platforms and build strong relationships with donors, local authorities, and humanitarian actors.
Requirements
- Postgraduate qualification in Development, Humanitarian Studies, or related field.
- At least seven years of experience managing humanitarian programmes.
- Strong expertise in Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) and WaSH programming.
- Prior experience with ECHO-funded projects.
- Experience in conflict-affected regions, particularly in Northeast or Northwest Nigeria.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
