    Overview

    International Medical Corps (IMC) is seeking qualified and passionate health professionals to join its humanitarian operations in Damboa, Nigeria. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to life-saving interventions, particularly in nutrition, maternal health, and community-based healthcare services.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support CMAM (Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition) and IYCF (Infant and Young Child Feeding) activities
    • Supervise and support health workers and community volunteers
    • Ensure availability of nutrition supplies for SAM and MAM treatment
    • Identify training gaps and support capacity-building initiatives
    • Collect, compile, and report programme data
    • Promote community engagement and feedback mechanisms
    • Deliver obstetric care (BEmONC & CEmONC)
    • Manage antenatal and postnatal services
    • Handle obstetric emergencies and normal deliveries
    • Ensure hygiene, sterilization, and patient confidentiality
    • Provide health education and support for mothers and infants
    • Maintain accurate patient records and reports
    • Conduct medical assessments and monitor vital signs
    • Administer therapeutic feeds and medications
    • Provide nutrition counselling to caregivers
    • Monitor stock levels of drugs and nutrition supplies
    • Support capacity building within stabilization centres

    Requirements

    • Diploma in Nutrition, Nursing, or a related field
    • General Nursing and Midwifery Certificate
    • Valid license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council
    • Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience
    • Proficiency in English and local languages
    • Basic computer skills
    • Registered Nurse with a Degree in Nursing
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in CMAM and IYCF programmes
    • Strong reporting and communication skills
