Action Against Hunger is recruiting a Nutrition and Health Programme Manager to support its operations in Damaturu Yobe State, Nigeria. The organization is a global leader in combating hunger and malnutrition, delivering life-saving interventions across multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the implementation of nutrition and health projects in line with donor requirements and organizational standards.
Manage project implementation plans and supervise field teams.
Coordinate with government health authorities and ensure high quality service delivery across supported health facilities.
Oversee data collection systems, needs assessments, reporting, and integration of nutrition services into primary health care.
Support capacity building and organize staff trainings.
Manage team performance and contribute to strategic planning and program development.
Monitor budgets and engage stakeholders in coordination meetings at state and local government levels.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Public Health or a related field with at least 5 years experience in nutrition program management.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Food Science or related disciplines with similar experience may also apply.
Strong reporting skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Fluency in Hausa is preferred.
Experience working in fragile or insecure environments is essential.
