A reputable organization is recruiting on behalf of its client for the position of Cyber Security Analyst. This is a fully remote role offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to work in a dynamic, security-focused environment.

Job Overview

• Position: Cyber Security Analyst
• Work Mode: Fully Remote
• Salary: ₦600,000 – ₦850,000 per month

Job Summary

The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for protecting organizational systems and data by managing security tools, monitoring threats, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

This role also involves leading security operations, mentoring junior staff, and delivering actionable security insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

System Administration

• Manage and maintain cybersecurity tools (IDPS, Proxy, DLP systems)
• Ensure optimal performance and security configurations

Threat Detection & Monitoring

• Conduct network monitoring and intrusion detection
• Perform log-based threat analysis and threat intelligence reporting

Incident Response

• Handle security incidents including containment, mitigation, and forensic analysis
• Support incident investigations and response strategies

Vulnerability Management

• Conduct vulnerability and IoT scanning
• Provide remediation recommendations and track fixes

Compliance & Governance

• Enforce compliance with standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or similar frameworks
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational security policies

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare technical incident reports
• Deliver management-level security reports and insights

Leadership

• Mentor junior team members
• Lead security initiatives across assigned areas

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

Experience

• Minimum of 3–5 years experience in information security

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of network security, threat intelligence, and endpoint protection
• Hands-on experience with security tools and frameworks

Certifications (Required)

At least one of the following:

• CISSP
• CISA
• Security+
• GSEC

Other Skills

• Excellent technical writing and reporting skills
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
