Glide Media Foundation is recruiting a qualified and experienced professional for the position of Program Officer. This is a full time role based in Abuja.
Glide Media Foundation is a non profit organisation dedicated to empowering storytellers media practitioners change makers and underserved communities across Africa. The organisation designs and implements programmes that build capacity and promote ethical communication. In addition, it amplifies voices driving positive social change.
The Program Officer will be responsible for planning and implementing programmes that support media storytelling and community initiatives. The role involves developing and editing stories reports and updates that reflect programme impact. Moreover, the officer will work closely with media partners, community groups and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
The successful candidate will also track programme progress and evaluate outcomes. They will manage projects in collaboration with teams and partners and prepare proposals reports and updates for donors. The role requires identifying opportunities to strengthen programmes and expand reach.
Applicants must possess a Master’s degree in Development Communication Social Work Journalism or a related field. A minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience is also required. A strong journalism background or experience in a newsroom is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate excellent writing storytelling and communication skills. Additionally, they should show the ability to manage programmes and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
