Overview

Malaria Consortium is recruiting a Social and Behavior Change Consultant (SBC) to support the 2026 Azithromycin (AZM) Mass Drug Administration (MDA) campaigns in Jigawa and Kaduna States.

Key Responsibilities

Develop context-specific SBC materials.
Design targeted advocacy strategies.
Engage community and religious leaders.
Facilitate Training of Trainers for health workers and community mobilizers.
Execute localized media plans.
Monitor community engagement activities.
Support state and LGA-level flag-off events.
Ensure effective post-campaign reinforcement.
Deliver pre, during, and post-campaign SBC workplans, adapted materials, advocacy plans, weekly updates, campaign reports, and a detailed consultancy report.

Requirements

A minimum of a first degree in Social Sciences or related fields.
At least three years post-graduation experience.
Prior experience in AZM or similar campaigns such as ITNs, SMC, or polio immunization.
Experience developing behavior change campaigns.
Knowledge of malaria prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
Strong training, supervisory, technical writing, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
