Overview
Malaria Consortium is recruiting a Social and Behavior Change Consultant (SBC) to support the 2026 Azithromycin (AZM) Mass Drug Administration (MDA) campaigns in Jigawa and Kaduna States.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop context-specific SBC materials.
- Design targeted advocacy strategies.
- Engage community and religious leaders.
- Facilitate Training of Trainers for health workers and community mobilizers.
- Execute localized media plans.
- Monitor community engagement activities.
- Support state and LGA-level flag-off events.
- Ensure effective post-campaign reinforcement.
- Deliver pre, during, and post-campaign SBC workplans, adapted materials, advocacy plans, weekly updates, campaign reports, and a detailed consultancy report.
Requirements
- A minimum of a first degree in Social Sciences or related fields.
- At least three years post-graduation experience.
- Prior experience in AZM or similar campaigns such as ITNs, SMC, or polio immunization.
- Experience developing behavior change campaigns.
- Knowledge of malaria prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Strong training, supervisory, technical writing, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
