    Overview

    Observer Research Foundation America is seeking a full-time Junior Fellow, Economic Policy (Trade Analyst) to conduct quantitative research on current international trade issues, focusing on trade between the United States and India.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop systems for tracking and analyzing international trade data relevant to the U.S., India, Europe, and other major economies.
    • Generate regular reports on international goods and services trade in collaboration with colleagues.
    • Write and co-author analyses and commentary for ORF America and external publications.
    • Collaborate with the economic policy team and engage with international partners in India and the Middle East.
    • Assist in drafting research proposals for donors and briefing stakeholders on relevant topics.
    • Support ORF America programs by providing topical expertise in a collaborative environment.

    Requirements

    • Master’s degree in economics, business, or a related field.
    • Eligibility to work in the United States for more than two years (no visa sponsorship provided).
    • Willingness and ability to relocate to Washington, D.C. (remote work not considered).
    • Minimum of four years full-time experience in economic and trade data analysis.
    • Proven organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including interpersonal skills and team collaboration.

    Benefits

    ORF America offers a competitive salary range of $70,000–$75,000, commensurate with experience. Benefits include healthcare (medical, dental, vision), 403(b) retirement plan, basic life insurance, short and long-term disability, and a generous paid time off policy.
