Overview

Observer Research Foundation America is seeking a full-time Junior Fellow, Economic Policy (Trade Analyst) to conduct quantitative research on current international trade issues, focusing on trade between the United States and India.

Key Responsibilities

Develop systems for tracking and analyzing international trade data relevant to the U.S., India, Europe, and other major economies.
Generate regular reports on international goods and services trade in collaboration with colleagues.
Write and co-author analyses and commentary for ORF America and external publications.
Collaborate with the economic policy team and engage with international partners in India and the Middle East.
Assist in drafting research proposals for donors and briefing stakeholders on relevant topics.
Support ORF America programs by providing topical expertise in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

Master’s degree in economics, business, or a related field.
Eligibility to work in the United States for more than two years (no visa sponsorship provided).
Willingness and ability to relocate to Washington, D.C. (remote work not considered).
Minimum of four years full-time experience in economic and trade data analysis.
Proven organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including interpersonal skills and team collaboration.

Benefits

ORF America offers a competitive salary range of $70,000–$75,000, commensurate with experience. Benefits include healthcare (medical, dental, vision), 403(b) retirement plan, basic life insurance, short and long-term disability, and a generous paid time off policy.
