Overview

Applications are open for two Junior Professional Officer (JPO) positions within the Canadian JPO Programme 2026, aimed at providing young Canadian professionals with experience in international development and multilateral cooperation within the UN system in Vienna.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting policy coordination and collaboration between UN agencies (UNOV/UNODC).
Assisting in strategic planning, interagency cooperation, and policy implementation.
Supporting geospatial data initiatives and remote sensing applications for sustainable development and disaster management (UNOOSA).

Requirements

Canadian citizenship.
32 years old or younger by the end of the application year (born on or after 1 January 1994).
Must meet qualifications specified in individual vacancy announcements.
