    About the Climate Diplomacy Team

    The Climate Diplomacy Team provides strategic and technical negotiations support and capacity building to Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in international climate fora, including the UNFCCC, Paris Agreement, and Green Climate Fund.

    Their work involves advising climate negotiators, supporting regional implementation, and fostering regional partnerships to indigenize climate commitments.

    Job Description

    Climate Analytics seeks two part-time Junior Research Assistants to support research and logistical activities within the Climate Diplomacy Team, focusing on LDCs and SIDS.

    The roles involve research, capacity-building support, meeting coordination, and logistic assistance for international climate negotiations.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct research and synthesize information on thematic areas in international climate negotiations
    • Support LDCs and SIDS in implementing the Paris Agreement
    • Assist in developing standardized capacity-building workshops for negotiators

    • Coordinate logistics and travel arrangements for climate meetings, including COPs and subsidiary bodies
    • Support team coordination through note-taking, agenda development, and assisting project managers and team leads

    Candidate Profile

    • Relevant experience in gender, capacity building, agriculture (LDC team), or climate finance, gender (SIDS team) is desirable
    • Master’s degree or minimum two years of work experience in law, politics, environmental studies, or related fields
    • Excellent research and synthesis skills
    • Strong interest and knowledge in international climate change issues

    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
    • Experience in project management and travel coordination is advantageous
    • Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work across different time zones and in diverse teams

    Conditions
