Overview

This role offers the opportunity to lead the carbon credit division at InPlanet, a remote-first ClimateTech startup focused on carbon removal and soil regeneration in tropical agriculture.

Key Responsibilities

• Directly manage the Principal Carbon Scientist and GHG Accounting Lead, aligning team growth with credit issuance volume.
• Oversee end-to-end project timelines for carbon credit activities and drive process efficiencies.
• Act as primary liaison between the carbon team and other departments, tracking commitments and deliverables.
• Support high-level carbon strategy development and oversee forecasting and reporting.

Requirements

• Strong project management background, ideally in startup or scale-up environments.
• Experience managing teams and prioritizing tasks in fast-paced settings.
• Scientific training in carbon, environmental science, or geochemistry; Master's degree or higher preferred.
• Highly organized, proactive communicator with adaptability to complex processes.
• Willingness to travel regularly.
• Experience in carbon markets and familiarity with carbon registries is a plus.
• PhD in a related field is a plus.
