    Overview

    This position offers a senior-level leadership opportunity to transform Africa’s food systems toward sustainability and resilience through the Africa’s Food Future Initiative (AFFI).

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead implementation of AFFI across priority landscapes.
    • Align national strategies with WWF’s global Food and Agriculture roadmap.
    • Promote nature-positive agricultural transformation.
    • Work with governments, NGOs, private sector actors, and donors.
    • Provide intellectual leadership on sustainable agriculture policies.
    • Lead fundraising efforts and support innovative financing mechanisms.
    • Guide country offices on agroecology, land-use planning, and value chains.
    • Represent WWF in high-level regional events.

    Requirements

    • Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including 5 years in senior management roles.
    • Master’s degree in Agriculture, International Development, Natural Resource Management, Biodiversity Conservation, or related fields.
    • Strong expertise in sustainable agriculture, land-use planning, and agricultural value chains.
    • Excellent communication skills in English (French is an advantage).
