Overview

This position offers a senior-level leadership opportunity to transform Africa’s food systems toward sustainability and resilience through the Africa’s Food Future Initiative (AFFI).

Key Responsibilities

Lead implementation of AFFI across priority landscapes.
Align national strategies with WWF’s global Food and Agriculture roadmap.
Promote nature-positive agricultural transformation.
Work with governments, NGOs, private sector actors, and donors.
Provide intellectual leadership on sustainable agriculture policies.
Lead fundraising efforts and support innovative financing mechanisms.
Guide country offices on agroecology, land-use planning, and value chains.
Represent WWF in high-level regional events.

Requirements

Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including 5 years in senior management roles.
Master’s degree in Agriculture, International Development, Natural Resource Management, Biodiversity Conservation, or related fields.
Strong expertise in sustainable agriculture, land-use planning, and agricultural value chains.
Excellent communication skills in English (French is an advantage).
