    PUI has been operational in Nigeria since 2016, with interventions in Borno State (Maiduguri, Monguno, Pulka) and more recently in Katsina State, delivering life-saving assistance across multiple sectors.

    JOB DETAILS

    • Position: Logistics Officer
    • Location: Abuja (FCT), Nigeria
    • Salary: ₦663,780 monthly

    ROLE SUMMARY

    Under the supervision of the Deputy Logistics Coordinator, the Logistics Officer will support and coordinate all logistics activities within the Abuja country office. This includes fleet management, stock and warehouse operations, procurement support, and ensuring compliance with organizational procedures.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Fleet & Generator Management

    • Plan and monitor vehicle movements and driver schedules
    • Ensure proper documentation, maintenance, and fueling of vehicles
    • Track fuel consumption and provide analysis reports
    • Maintain generators, monitor usage, and ensure timely servicing

    2. Flight & Travel Coordination

    • Manage flight bookings (UNHAS and commercial)
    • Share travel itineraries and documentation with staff
    • Monitor flight payments and UNHAS wallet balances
    • Coordinate cargo bookings and delivery follow-ups

    3. Supply Chain Support

    • Assist in goods receipt documentation (GRN, SS, MWC, AOPs)
    • Support file archiving and documentation uploads
    • Ensure proper record-keeping and compliance

    4. Stock & Warehouse Management

    • Oversee receipt, storage, and dispatch of supplies
    • Monitor stock quality and expiration dates
    • Conduct monthly and annual stock inventories
    • Ensure timely distribution of office supplies

    5. Team Supervision

    • Supervise drivers and ensure compliance with SOPs
    • Organize regular team meetings and training sessions
    • Support onboarding of new drivers

    6. Security & Premises Management

    • Support implementation of security protocols
    • Ensure safety of office premises and staff
    • Maintain safety equipment (fire extinguishers, alarms, etc.)
    • Monitor emergency and hibernation supplies

    7. Reporting

    • Prepare monthly logistics and inventory reports
    • Analyze operational data (fleet, stock, fuel usage)
    • Contribute to weekly logistics meetings

    REQUIREMENTS

    Education

    • National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Engineering, or related field

    Experience

    • Minimum of 2 years experience in logistics or supply chain with an INGO

    Skills & Knowledge

    • Strong knowledge of warehouse, fleet, and premises management
    • Familiarity with donor-funded projects and compliance procedures
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
    • Strong organizational, analytical, and reporting skills

    Language

    • Fluency in English and Hausa required

    ADDED ADVANTAGES

    • Previous experience in a supervisory role
    • Experience working with NGOs
    • Knowledge of additional local or regional languages
