Overview
Mercy Corps is seeking a highly skilled professional for the role of Interim Deputy Director, Strategic Partnerships. This remote position allows you to contribute to global humanitarian efforts by strengthening donor engagement, communications, and strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and refine donor communication and engagement strategies across multiple channels.
- Plan and execute donor events, including small gatherings, global conferences, and high-level meetings.
- Coordinate and manage donor travel experiences, including logistics, itineraries, and follow-ups.
- Develop communication materials, such as meeting briefs, presentations, and event scripts.
- Track and analyze engagement outcomes to improve future strategies.
- Provide communication support during emergency response situations.
- Support high-value donor relationships and create materials such as proposals and donor updates.
- Dedicate time to professional development and support accountability initiatives aligned with humanitarian standards.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have demonstrated expertise in communications, fundraising, and partnership development within a nonprofit context.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 5–8 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or communications.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Experience planning donor events and managing logistics.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with major donors, corporate partners, and foundations.
- Familiarity with donor management systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
- Experience in international environments.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Benefits
Full-time, fixed-term position from April 2026 through November 2026, with a competitive salary ranging from $76,800 to $85,000 annually.
