    The International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) has announced new consultancy opportunities for qualified professionals to serve as National Coordinators in Tunisia, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, and Kenya under its multi-country cultural heritage project.

    The consultancy positions form part of ICCROM’s “Towards Sustainable Development in Africa: Transformative Capacity Building to Advance Craftsmanship in Cultural Heritage” initiative, which seeks to strengthen cultural heritage preservation while promoting sustainable development across the African continent.

    Consultancy Opportunities Support Cultural Heritage Development in Africa

    The National Coordinator positions are offered through ICCROM’s Programmes Unit and will support the implementation of activities under the organization’s regional capacity-building initiative.

    Successful candidates will work remotely from their respective countries under an Individual Engagement Contract with an initial 11-month term, which may be renewed based on project needs and performance.

    The project aims to strengthen craftsmanship in cultural heritage preservation while contributing to sustainable development objectives through local coordination and stakeholder engagement.

    Available National Coordinator Positions

    ICCROM is recruiting National Coordinators for the following countries:

    • Tunisia
    • Côte d’Ivoire
    • Egypt
    • Kenya

    Each coordinator will oversee project implementation at the national level, working closely with ICCROM’s Programmes Unit and Project Officer to facilitate activities within their assigned country.

    Monthly Consultancy Fees

    Compensation varies depending on the country of assignment.

    The monthly consultancy fees are as follows:

    • National Coordinator – Tunisia: €880 per month
    • National Coordinator – Côte d’Ivoire: €960 per month
    • National Coordinator – Egypt: €930 per month
    • National Coordinator – Kenya: €1,210 per month

    The consultancy contracts are home-based, allowing selected professionals to work remotely while coordinating project activities within their respective countries.

    Key Contract Details

    All four consultancy positions share similar contractual arrangements.

    The appointments include:

    • Individual Engagement Contract.
    • Remote/home-based duty station.
    • Eleven-month contract duration.
    • Possibility of contract renewal.
    • Coordination under ICCROM’s Programmes Unit.
    • Supervision by the assigned Project Officer.
    • Closing date of July 15, 2026.
