Overview

The Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal is inviting applications for the position of National Programme Officer – Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). This is an exciting opportunity for professionals in education, development, and vocational training to contribute to Nepal’s socio-economic growth.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee planning, monitoring, implementation, and reporting of TVET projects.
Ensure project quality and authorization of payments.
Develop concept notes and participate in tender evaluations.
Lead policy dialogue in Nepal’s TVET sector and strengthen private sector participation.
Organize TVET donor group meetings and maintain coordination frameworks.
Support the design of cooperation strategies and improve Swiss development programming.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in TVET, Education, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
At least 5 years of practical work experience in the development sector.
Minimum 3 years of project cycle management experience.
Strong understanding of labour markets and proficiency in written and spoken English and Nepali.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.

Benefits

This position is a full-time (100%) role on a 2-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension.
