    Key Responsibilities of the Program Manager

    • Monitoring implementation of global projects, including workplans, deliverables, and subawards
    • Ensuring technical quality and operational consistency across multiple country programmes

    • Managing recruitment, training, and performance of programme staff
    • Supporting donor relations and compliance with funding requirements

    The role also involves international travel of approximately 10–25 percent.

    Required Qualifications and Professional Experience

    PSI is seeking experienced professionals with strong backgrounds in international development, programme management, and health systems work.

    Minimum requirements include:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s degree preferred)
    • At least seven years of relevant professional experience
    • Experience in international development or donor-funded programmes (e.g., USAID, FCDO, UN agencies, World Bank, KfW)
    • Strong financial management and budget tracking skills
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
    • Excellent communication skills across multicultural environments
    • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and staff effectively
    • Experience working in fast-paced, multi-country programme environments

    Preferred qualifications include:

    • Master’s degree in a related discipline
    • At least one year of supervisory experience
    • French language skills (preferred but not required)
    • Experience in health programming or public health systems strengthening
