Overview

The role of Principal Product Manager focuses on being the primary product voice for Elastic Security's strategic enterprise customers. The candidate will manage enhancement requests and product direction effectively to best serve customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the enhancement request pipeline across multiple strategic accounts.
• Translate customer requirements into shipped products, synthesizing input into coherent product directions.
• Shape customer input into successful products benefiting the wider market.
• Feed validated customer patterns into core product roadmaps.
• Serve as the primary product voice in meetings with senior customer stakeholders, such as CISOs and CTOs.
• Prioritize customer-sourced requirements using structured frameworks like RICE and opportunity sizing.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leads to write actionable specifications.
• Navigate tensions between contractual expectations and internal roadmaps.
• Create visibility artifacts such as roadmap trackers and enhancement request dashboards.
• Advocate for customer needs while synthesizing them into product direction.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of product management experience, including 4 years in B2B enterprise software.
• Hands-on knowledge with SIEM, SOAR, or security operations platforms.
• Experience managing a structured enhancement request pipeline across enterprise accounts.
• Strong executive presence with capability to engage C-suite stakeholders.
• Technical credibility, able to write actionable specs for engineers.
• Experience in cross-functional leadership across multiple departments.
• Structured thinking with a bias for closure and proactive follow-up.
• Comfortable with AI-augmented work for enhanced productivity.
