    Overview

    The role involves working as a Principal Product Manager for Telemetry Collection within the Observability team at Elastic, a company focused on leveraging data through search and AI technology. This position entails driving strategy and execution for edge telemetry collectors and remote management capabilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Define the product vision, go-to-market strategy, and execution roadmap for Elastic Agent framework and telemetry collectors.
    • Track KPIs related to agent deployment success and pipeline efficiency.
    • Oversee the packaging, testing, and distribution of Elastic Agent and related distributions.
    • Drive remote management capabilities for Elastic Agent and Fleet Server.
    • Manage Kubernetes deployment strategies and cloud-native releases.
    • Guide the development of OpenTelemetry data shipping capabilities.
    • Manage Filebeat and oversee the Beats repository.
    • Lead product initiatives for Logstash for improved user experience.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance central management experiences.
    • Act as a spokesperson for Elastic's agent framework and collection capabilities.

    Requirements

    • Minimum five years in Product Management focused on enterprise infrastructure observability.
    • Deep technical knowledge of log shippers, agent ecosystems, and OpenTelemetry standards.
    • Experience defining requirements for remote agent management.
    • Familiarity with Kubernetes operators and cloud-native orchestration.
    • Experience in IT Ops, DevOps, or as a customer-facing solution architect.
    • Excellent communication skills to convey complex architectures clearly.
    • Experience working with open-source communities.
    • Strong familiarity with the Elastic Stack.
