Principal Product Manager (XDR & Exposure Management) - Security Solutions @Elastic

Overview

Elastic is looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead the XDR (Extended Detection and Response) and exposure management initiatives within its Security Solutions team. The position involves overseeing the integration of various security functions to enhance detection, response, and vulnerability capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Own XDR strategy and delivery across endpoint, cloud, identity, and network.
• Lead Elastic's expansion into exposure and vulnerability management, including patch management and remediation workflows.
• Integrate insights from adjacent surfaces such as attack surface and cloud posture.
• Collaborate with senior customers, including CISOs, to deliver roadmap direction.
• Analyze the competitive landscape and translate insights into product direction.
• Work with engineering leads to define actionable product requirements.
• Create visibility artifacts such as roadmaps and decision memos.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of product management experience, with at least 4 years in security or B2B enterprise software.
• Hands-on knowledge of XDR, EDR, SIEM, or security operations.
• Understanding of exposure prioritization and threat landscape.
• Strong analytics and threat understanding.
• Ability to respect engineering requirements and demonstrate technical credibility.
• Effective communication with C-level stakeholders.
• Experience working cross-functionally across different teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence in a remote-first environment.
