Principal Product Manager (XDR & Exposure Management) - Security Solutions @Elastic

Overview

Elastic is seeking a Principal Product Manager for XDR and exposure management within its Security Solutions team. This role focuses on managing detection-and-response products while integrating exposure and vulnerability capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Own XDR strategy and delivery across detection and response domains including endpoint, cloud, identity, and network.
• Lead the expansion into exposure and vulnerability management, implementing features like patch management and device control.
• Integrate inputs from adjacent surfaces such as attack surface and cloud posture.
• Collaborate with the Entity Analytics team for exposure prioritization.
• Act as the product voice for senior stakeholders, delivering roadmap direction.
• Maintain internal expertise on the competitive landscape of security vendors.
• Provide clear, actionable requirements for engineering teams.
• Create transparency through artifacts like roadmap trackers and competitive briefs.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of product management experience, with 4 years in security or B2B enterprise software.
• Hands-on knowledge of XDR, EDR, SIEM, or security operations.
• Understanding of exposure and vulnerability management concepts.
• Familiarity with the current cyber threat landscape and data analytics techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders.
• Experience working cross-functionally in dynamic, remote-first environments.
• Use of AI tooling in workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to lead across a matrixed organization.
