Principal Product Manager (XDR & Exposure Management) - Security Solutions @Elastic

Overview

Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking a Principal Product Manager to own the XDR and exposure management capabilities within Elastic Security. This role involves leading the strategy and delivery of detection-and-response products, converging with exposure and vulnerability management.

Key Responsibilities

• Own XDR strategy and delivery across detection and response in endpoint, cloud, identity, and network.
• Lead XDR expansion into exposure and vulnerability management with features like patch management and remediation workflows.
• Manage noise reduction to ensure capabilities are effectively utilized.
• Partner with the Entity Analytics team for asset criticality and exposure prioritization.
• Serve as a product voice with senior customer stakeholders, including CISOs and VPs of Security Operations.
• Become the internal authority on the competitive landscape within security solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering to write clear requirements based on threat research.
• Create artifacts like roadmap trackers and competitive briefs for stakeholder visibility.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of product management experience, with a focus on security or B2B enterprise software.
• Hands-on knowledge of XDR, EDR, SIEM, or broader security operations.
• Understanding of exposure and vulnerability management, including prioritization criteria.
• Familiarity with analytics and the current cyber threat landscape.
• Technical credibility and ability to work cross-functionally across teams.
• Excellent communication with executive-level stakeholders.
• Experience in a remote-first environment.
• Proficiency in using AI tools in workflows.
